Your situation
The SQL Server your warehouse runs on is reaching end of support, and the logic on it has no owner.
End of support is a security and audit problem first and a migration project second. The warehouse logic on that server, the stored procedures and SSIS packages written over fifteen years, is what makes the upgrade or the move hard. Novuz counts it, converts it to Databricks or Fabric by rule and proves every object, inside your environment, at a price fixed before work starts.
What is happening
What is actually happening?
An end-of-support date (SQL Server 2017's extended support ends in October 2027; earlier versions are already past it) has turned a long-deferred decision into a dated one. The options are an in-place upgrade that keeps the logic debt, a lift to a managed instance that keeps it too, or a move to a modern target that finally retires it. Security and audit want a date; the platform team wants to know how big the logic is first.
The cost of waiting
What does waiting cost?
- Extended security updates, where available, at a price that rises each year.
- An audit finding about unsupported software holding regulated data.
- The chance to retire the dead code and the duplicate logic in one move rather than carry it onto a new server.
In three business days
What does the estate assessment give you?
- Every procedure, view, function and SSIS package counted and banded, with lineage.
- The dead code, with evidence.
- A fixed price to convert to Databricks or Fabric and a recommended first domain.
- A timeline against the end-of-support date.
Honest fit
Who should not do this?
- Teams whose decision is already an in-place upgrade with no target change; Novuz converts, it does not upgrade.
- Estates under about 300 objects.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Upgrade or migrate?
The assessment does not decide that for you, but it gives you the number that does: how much logic there is and how much of it is dead. Many teams find the migration is smaller than they feared once the dead code is out.
Does Novuz convert SSIS?
Yes: packages, data flows, control flow and schedules, to Fabric pipelines and notebooks or Databricks Workflows, each reconciled.
What about the data?
Data movement is a storage project the reconciliation then checks; Novuz prices the logic and says so.
